C-17 Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Interagency Agreement between the School Board of Clay County, Florida and the Department of Military Affairs, State of Florida (Item pulled by staff)
Issue/Rationale
This Agreement will facilitate the continuance of the Florida Youth Challenge Academy program, which is Congressionally authorized and operated by the Department of Defense through the National Guard Bureau, located at Camp Blanding, Florida.
The Agreement will maintain the collaboration between the Clay County School Board and the Department of Military Affairs to improve communities and to provide a highly disciplined and motivational environment for at-risk high school dropouts.
Recommended Action
The Superintendent recommends approval of the Interagency Agreement.
Financial Impact
The Department of Military Affairs will allocate $250,000 to the School District of Clay County.
